• The study of the Spirit from the Apostolic perspective includes discussion of God’s eternal being as a Spirit, His infilling of His people with His Spirit, and the Christian’s life in the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit are discussed in depth.

  • This course will help individuals as well as institutions, whether for profit and not for profit, to become more aware of their social responsibility. The course will challenge students to accept their personal responsibilities, commit to being a catalyst in any institution they are a part of for social responsibility and to strategically plan for fulfilling social responsibilities.

  • The Old Testament books of prophecy are examined as to their historical context and content.Emphasis is placed on their prophecies concerning the Messiah and their fulfillment.

  • This course provides the student with an overview of early Jewish history primarily from the perspective of the thirty-nine books of the Old Testament. Each Old Testament book is discussed as to its genre, author, audience, purpose, characters, themes, and relationship to Jewish history. The History of Israel is traced from Abraham and his forefathers to the Inter-Testamental period. Additional Jewish literature such as the Mishna, Gemara, and Apocrypha will be referenced.

  • This course examines the history and literature of first century Christianity. The twenty-seven books of the New Testament are discussed relative to their genre, author, audience, purpose, characters, themes, and contributions to the history of Christianity. Special attention is given to the founder of Christianity, the establishment of the Christian church, and the churches mission, message, and expansion.

  • This course introduces the student to the foundations of philosophy and religion and their interrelationship. The concepts of metaphysics, epistemology, and axiology are examined with emphasis placed on the foundation for, significance of, and consequences of a Christian worldview.
